Osso Corto & Osso Lungo
by
MAKARLU
Introducing the Osso Collection! As you’ve come to expect with MAKARLU, these stylish innovations were inspired by nature and are designed for movement.
Osso Corto is the perfect myofascial companion for massage and muscle release! Osso (bone) and Corto (short) is Italian for “short bone”.
And yes, we’ve now released Osso Lungo – the “long bone”! Osso Lungo is used for numerous movement exercises and fascial release in studios as well as home, with the gentle contours providing a comfortable yet secure grip.
Osso Corto and Osso Lungo are proudly designed and made in Australia from only the best materials.
We take sustainable hardwood and create beauty and function in Osso
When the team at MAKARLU first discovered Crafted Hardwoods, an innovative Australian company, we immediately knew that we could design and carve exciting new products from this beautiful, uniquely sustainable hardwood. For our new designs we’ve chosen to work with Australian Spotted Gum due to its rich tones, flowing ribbons of grain and natural markings. The underutilised parts of the tree are engineered into slabs which are cut to size and turned to shape on our wood lathes.
We hand-coat the Spotted Gum hardwood with a high quality hardwax oil so it’s pleasant and warm to the touch. The coating allows the wood to breathe by integrating with it, rather than creating a skin. The oil is made from natural, sustainable raw materials (such as beeswax, carnauba wax and jojoba oil) and is non-toxic (food and toy safe, safe on bare skin).
Your Osso Corto comes in a stylish 100% wool felt pouch, also made in Australia!
