PAYMENTS AND ORDERS

Thank you for shopping with Makarlu. We would like you to read our purchase and shipping terms carefully to ensure that you are fully aware of your rights when purchasing products from our website.

By purchasing from us you are agreeing to our terms and conditions.

PURCHASES

You must provide complete and accurate details at the time of making your purchase. You may be required to provide additional details upon our request to ensure the accuracy of your order.

PURCHASE PRICE

Makarlu accepts payment in multiple currencies. All prices quoted on the website are set to the default currency of your IP address / geolocation. If you would like to choose another currency please use the currency selector provided.

We reserve the right to vary the prices displayed on the website from time to time and without notice. Pricing may vary slightly depending on the currency selected, i.e. pricing in a particular currency may not equate to pricing in another currency when using the current currency exchange rates. This is due to a number of factors.

PAYMENT

Makarlu accepts payment in multiple currencies via the payment gateway Stripe. Stripe accepts:

  • All major debit and credit cards (inc. Visa, Mastercard and AMEX) from customers in every country
  • Wallet payment methods (inc. Apple Pay, Google Pay and more)

After you make payment for your order we will email you an invoice which confirms receipt of your order.

SECURITY

We recognise that protection and safety of information relating to your credit card and payment details is very important. Therefore, we provide you with a very safe and stress-free online shopping experience.

We use the highest strength Secure Sockets Layer (SSL) encryption to transmit your personal and credit card details.

We do not store your credit card details at any time.

CONSENT TO MARKETING MATERIAL

By making a purchase via our webstore you consent to receive further electronic communications from us in relation to the Makarlu business, including information relating to products, promotions, special offers and any other commercial message. You may opt out at any time by simply clicking ‘unsubscribe’ within one of our mail-outs.

PROCESSING OF ORDERS

We process purchases on business days, which are Monday to Friday and exclude public holidays in Queensland, Australia. Orders are processed by 2pm AEST each business day, so please keep this in mind if purchasing something that is required urgently.

CANCELLATION OF ORDERS

Makarlu may cancel your order if for any reason we are unable to provide you with the products subject to your order. We will contact you should this occur.

GOVERNING LAW

The laws of Queensland, Australia govern these purchase and shipping terms.

 

RETURNS, REFUNDS AND EXCHANGES

SHOP WITH CONFIDENCE

If you receive a product that is damaged, faulty or not what you ordered, notify us within 7 days of delivery and the item/s can be returned free of charge. We will then issue a replacement or a refund.

1. Please email to:

  • Advise that you wish to return the product
  • Provide relevant details, i.e. a description of the issue together with digital images
  • Let us know if you would prefer a replacement or a refund

2. You will be provided with a reply paid return postage label for you to simply:

  • Pack the item/s (original packaging if possible) in a suitable postage satchel or carton
  • Print the returns label
  • Securely stick the label to the package
  • Post!

3. We will email you to let you know when we have received the product and;

  • A replacement will be sent to you via express post, or
  • A refund will be applied to the card where payment was taken (please note that your financial institution may take 3-5 working days to clear funds into your bank account)

ACCEPTABLE REASONS FOR EXCHANGE OR REFUND

Makarlu does not accept returns on items damaged by general wear and tear. Makarlu reserves the right to determine a genuine fault or manufacturing defect in the product.

DELIVERY DAMAGE

If you think your order has been damaged during transit, please send photos and details to within 48 hours of receiving the damaged package.

INCORRECT ITEM

When returning an incorrectly supplied item, please ensure due care is taken to return the item to us in its original condition.

STOCK AVAILABILITY

Makarlu makes every effort to ensure stock levels are accurate at the time of purchase. However, if the item you have ordered is not available it will be placed on backorder. Alternatively you may choose to be issued a gift certificate or refund for the out of stock item.

 

SHIPPING TERMS

EXPRESS SHIPPING

Makarlu welcomes orders from just about anywhere (more than 190 countries).

  • Within Australia we ship directly with Australia Post’s Express Post.
  • Internationally we ship directly with Australia Post’s International Express.

SHIPPING COSTS

Pairs of Makarlu Lotus receive free shipping in Australia and internationally. All other orders will be charged at a flat rate of AUD $9.50 per item.

TURNAROUND

All orders are shipped from our facility in Brisbane (Australia) within 24-48 hours for orders placed Monday-Friday 8am-5pm AEST.

Note that shipping is on weekdays only so allow additional time for orders placed after 12pm Friday AEST.

DELIVERIES IN AUSTRALIA

Australia Post guarantees Express Post delivery will be next business day for items posted on a business day (Monday to Friday). Next business day delivery covers 80% of Australian business addresses, private addresses and Post Office Boxes. Service operates between all capital cities (except Darwin and in Perth CBD only) and some major centres. Outside metropolitan areas guaranteed service is to and from townships only.

INTERNATIONAL SHIPPING

It’s fast! Estimated delivery of 2-4 business days to metropolitan areas of major cities, only slightly longer for regional areas.

It’s secure! Delivery door to door (or nearby Post Office) with recipient signature recorded.

It’s trackable! You’ll receive email updates as your package progresses through its journey!

IMPORT COSTS

When you purchase products in our web shop, our pricing includes costs such as shipping and insurance. Your landed cost may be higher, depending on the value of your order and the destination country. If your order is over a certain value, there may be added costs. These can include import duties, customs charges and taxes (e.g. VAT). This added cost must be paid by you when your order arrives and before local customs release the products. As these import costs are different for each country, we recommend that you contact your local customs office or broker for specific information on your country. Any redelivery of parcels needs to be arranged and paid for by the customer.

TRACKING

All items will be delivered via Australia Post. Once your order is dispatched you will receive an email from Australia Post with tracking information for you to track the status of your delivery.

INCORRECT ADDRESS

You must enter the correct delivery address and delivery instructions at the time of placing your order. If you enter an incorrect address, Makarlu is not obliged to resend the order to the correct address at its own expense.

LARGER ORDERS AND PARCELS OVER 20KG (44LBS)

We’ll ship parcels up to 20kg via Express Post and International Express. For example, 20kg for Makarlu Lotus equates to 12 pairs. We’ll also ship parcels over 20kg – contact us for a competitive rate.
